Life-changing
The book based on essays becomes too repetitive for me. Working as a post-doctoral fellow at Harvard I was able to observe many famous scientists and I found them to be very varied in their personalities and behavior.
Finally an essay on that topic from an insider. Despite some redundancy here and there, a valuable analysis of how narcissism invaded academic science almost like a parasite. This personality trait is discussed in-depth and tentative suggestions for the remedy are proposed. Although the author is a scientist and could suffer from being accused from narcissists of becoming one by rising fame from this book(!), impartiality and rigorous work are maintained through out the essay.
